Teamwork resulted in a record month for the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre

IFEAT - when the Nordic region became a stage for the world
One of these successful projects was IFEAT, a conference of the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aromas Trade. For the first time, the conference was held in the Nordic region, and 1500 delegates from 90 countries gathered in Gothenburg on September 14-18.
The theme "Nordic Nexus" was to capture the progressive values and sustainable innovation of the Nordic region. Adapt was commissioned as technical partner - our task was to transform the congress hall into a venue that combined international standards with Nordic elegance.
From concept to stage
The work started long before September. During the fall, our team had planned how the congress hall would be designed to create the right atmosphere. With multi-camera video production, 140 square meters of LED wall and dynamic lighting design, we created an environment that both impressed visually and functioned technically during the five intense days of the conference.
At the Welcome Mingle and in the congress foyer, we set the tone with lighting design and projections. 300 meters of festoon lights and wave-shaped light patterns in the ceiling welcomed the delegates and created an atmosphere that felt both exclusive and warm.
Extensive technical production
About 20 people from Adapt worked on site during the conference. The multi-camera setup with professional operators captured the speakers from multiple angles, while the massive 140 square meter LED wall displayed presentations, graphics and the visual identity of the conference.
The lighting design used 123 moving lights and 116 static light sources to create flexibility between formal plenary meetings and relaxed networking moments. The rigging included 76 rigging points and 166 meters of rope to ensure safe installation of all equipment.
