The social administration broadcasted its event digitally and increased accessibility

It was because of the pandemic that the Social Administration Centre chose to broadcast its event live digitally. The challenge was to ensure that as many people as possible could access the content without meeting in person. The event was streamed from one of Adapt's studios.

When the Social Administration Centre was to broadcast an event digitally, the choice fell on Adapt and our studio Large at Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Gothia Towers in Gothenburg. They organised the event in conjunction with the closing of the project For an equal city and sustainable working life. The aim of the digital event was to inspire further work for equality.

Studio Adapt Large in Gothenburg has everything you need for a digital broadcast.

Studio with full technical equipment

Instead of a traditional approach, the Social Administration Centre chose to livestreama the event from one of Adapts studior. Participants at the event included a panel debate and workshop. A live band was also present in the studio, providing music during the breaks. Studio Large is a spacious room with a 6×3 metre LED screen. In the middle is a presentation area from where the organisers led the event. Two studio technicians filmed the event with three different cameras to capture the scene from multiple angles. This made the broadcast more vivid. This event was also attended by guests who were not present in the studio but spoke via link. To achieve the highest quality even on their PPT, the technicians controlled them directly from the studio.

The event included a performance by a music duo who provided the entertainment.

The solution was a digital event

When it is not possible to gather all participants in one place, new ways have to be found. When you broadcast an event digitally, your audience is not limited to a specific location or venue. You can also have an unlimited number of viewers. This time, digital viewers also had the opportunity to influence the content. Through an interactive digital tool, they could ask questions and take part in polls. Many people would have missed this interesting topic if the Social Administration Centre had not opted for a digital solution. Instead, all those invited who could not attend the studio had the opportunity to participate digitally. Extra fun was to take part in the spontaneous reactions of the viewers who "nice production" and "professionally executed" and "extremely interesting content".
