Digital international event for SSE
During the spring, the Stockholm School of Economics live streamed a digital international event from Studio Adapt in Stockholm. The purpose of the live event "Homecoming" was to gather and celebrate former students and staff who worked at the school.
This was the first time that School implemented "Homecoming" as a completely digital international event. Since the event had not been conducted as an interactive live broadcast before, it was uncertain how many participants would be interested in participating. An uncertainty that quickly disappeared when 400 people from all over the world signed up for the event in a short time.
Navigating the unknown
The live broadcast itself lasted two hours and the theme was "Navigating the unknown". The theme was about how we adapted in different ways the way we live in the current pandemic. The live broadcast mixed pre-recorded elements, interviews and music elements with live elements in the form of panel discussions and presentations.
Visitors watched the live broadcast on the digital event platform
Visitors logged into Adapt's digital and interactive event platform. In it, they could watch the live stream from the studio. There they could also see and network with each other, chat and submit questions to the studio. Through the portal, the studio also sent out questions that participants could answer in the event's joint chat.
The choir producer created driving schedules and controlled the work in the studio
Adapt worked on the project from start to finish and helped SSE's team with the concept and design of the live broadcast. A choir producer from Adapt was included during the preparatory work to consult on concepts, arrangements and to be able to work out detailed driving schedules. The producer also directed the work on site in the studio.
