Adapt installs interactive equipment in a new innovation arena

The Innovative Materials Arena (IMA) in Linköping is a hub that fosters research, innovation, and growth in advanced materials. The arena comprises a physical meeting place for laboratories, operations, and research, as well as a network that cultivates development and partnerships. Currently, the first building in the arena area, IMA One, is under construction, and Adapt has been commissioned by the project owner SanktKors to install the audiovisual equipment in the 5000 m2 facility.

Centrally located within the building is a staircase that also serves as tiered seating for presentations.

Adapt's mission is to create a user-friendly and interactive installation where all equipment is interconnected, enabling all units to interact with each other. The equipment to be installed includes LED screens, displays, audio equipment, lighting equipment, sensors, and the BLOCKS control system. The equipment will be installed on a stage area, in four conference rooms, as well as in the reception, lobby, and two common areas. The installation will take place during the summer of 2020 and is scheduled for operational readiness by early August.

The installation is being carried out in close collaboration with Linköping-based company Pixilab, which developed the interactive control system BLOCKS. With BLOCKS, audio, lighting, and video equipment can be easily connected via a standard network to sensors and smart devices such as phones and computers. This provides new possibilities for interactivity and control, as all installed units can communicate with each other, while a user-friendly interface offers full command over all functions.

All equipment is interconnected with the BLOCKS control system via a network.
