Interactive installation for Mitsubishi Concept Store in Bromma Blocks

In collaboration with gorm larsen nordic, the Adapt the audio-visual solution to Mitsubishi's new concept store in Bromma blocks. Our mission was to build a concept store where Mitsubishi's latest products can be displayed in an impactful way while giving visitors an interactive experience. This resulted in the Mitsubishi Concept Store.

Idea and concept

Based on Gorm Larsen Nordic's idea and concept, Adapt's project managers and technicians designed a solution where different technologies in sound, light and image work together. The installation is based on a full-scale car located centrally in the premises. The vehicle is surrounded by several digital and interactive installations that are connected via the interactive control system BLOCKS.

On a touchscreen, visitors could choose which season they wanted to see the car in. The different choices change both the image/movie on the LED screen, the light above the car and the music being played.
  • Alongside the car, a large LED screen is built into the wall. Through a touchscreen, the visitor can choose different seasons to see how the car travels and makes its way through different weather and environments.
  • Above the vehicle are a number of light fixtures installed that create an interactive roof. The luminaires are synchronized with the LED screen behind the car and illuminate the vehicle from above so that its staining and glare in the varnish reflect the color and feel of what is shown on the LED screen.

The LED screen shows movies of different seasons; summer, autumn, winter and spring.
  • Half a flight of stairs, in the lounge, visitors themselves have the opportunity to configure and read more about the vehicle. On a large touchscreen, visitors make their choices and the result is then visible on a 5×2 m widescreen projection on the wall.
  • Competitive players can meet each other in an interactive game where, by moving your feet, you can quickly fill an interactive battery with energy. The game is programmed in BLOCKS and detects via sensors the movements of the contestants.
