Impactful projection mapping at Wermland Opera has become advent tradition

Adapt has been entrusted to deliver the projection solution to Wermland Opera's popular projection mapping for several years.

Projection mapping on buildings
Projection mapping allows buildings to be transformed into impactful projection surfaces.

The projection mapping at Wermland Opera takes place every year for one week in December, starting on 1st Advent. It has become a real tradition in Karlstad and visitors travel far and wide to experience it. Adapt has been involved since the start of 2016 and has every year supplied projection solution and media servers for playing material. Adapt's staff has also ensured the construction, configuration and mapping of the façade.

Façade show with projections on houses
Wermland Opera's façade show is a popular advent tradition in Karlstad

The projection on the façade is carried out with 3 bright Christie Boxer 4K30 projectors. Each projector has 4K resolution and delivers a whopping 30,000 ansilums in brightness. The content is playback from a WatchOut WatchMax media server. The content was created by Jan Branå at Eybrite, in close collaboration with Wermland Opera's musicians and ensemble.
