Adapt offers a wide range of LED screens suitable for events, exhibitions, and studios. Our LED screens are modular, comprising panels that can be easily relocated and assembled in any desired configuration. A key advantage of LED screens over projectors, for instance, is their usability in bright environments, including outdoors, and their capability to be scaled to very large dimensions.

LED Screen Construction

An LED screen is composed of numerous small diodes that collectively form a dynamic display surface. These diodes are mounted on panels, which are then assembled to create a screen of any desired size. The density of the diodes, known as the 'pixel pitch,' determines the resolution of the LED screen. A denser arrangement of diodes results in higher screen resolution. Consequently, a higher resolution LED screen allows viewers to stand closer without perceiving pixelation.

A general guideline for calculating LED screen resolution is that a 1 mm pixel pitch corresponds to a 1-meter optimal viewing distance. Therefore, for an LED screen with a 10 mm pixel pitch, an approximate viewing distance of 10 meters is recommended for optimal image quality. Similarly, for an LED screen with a 3 mm pixel pitch, a viewing distance of approximately 3 meters is sufficient to achieve a clear image.

When acquiring an LED screen, whether through rental or purchase, it is crucial to determine the required resolution, specifically the pixel pitch. This decision is based on the intended viewing distance of the audience from the screen. A higher resolution LED screen necessitates a greater number of diodes, which consequently results in a higher rental or purchase cost for the unit.

beMatrix LED-skin

Adapt offers the innovative beMatrix LED-skin for both rental and sale. This high-quality, modular LED screen is specifically designed for seamless integration with the beMatrix frame system. Consequently, the screen can be effortlessly incorporated into diverse constructions, such as a segment of a larger wall or framed by decorative elements on a stage. Adapt provides the beMatrix LED-skin in 3.1 mm and 2.5 mm resolutions, rendering it exceptionally well-suited for events and exhibitions where close viewing distances are common.

Low-Resolution LED Screens

Also referred to as 'creative LED,' this type of LED panel is utilized for applications such as stage backdrops or decorative elements. It features a low pixel pitch, meaning viewers typically need to maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters from the screen to perceive a clear image. Low-resolution LED walls are commonly employed in stage productions where large displays are desired at a reduced cost, functioning effectively as a significant lighting effect. A low-resolution LED wall typically has a pixel pitch of 10 mm or greater.

High-Resolution LED Screens

A high-resolution LED wall is deployed when clear visibility of displayed content, such as video, images, and text, is paramount, and when attendees are positioned relatively close to the screen. The pixel pitch (resolution) of these displays is typically 6 mm or finer. The closer the audience is to the screen, the higher the required resolution. Currently, most high-resolution LED screens feature a pixel pitch of 3 mm or greater.

A fixed LED display, whether for indoor or outdoor installation, presents a cost-effective solution due to its design not being intended for frequent relocation.
