The annual ISE exhibition in Barcelona is currently underway – a gathering point for all interested in professional audio, lighting, and visual equipment. Haven't had the opportunity to attend? No worries, Adapt provides you with the highlights.
Easier to Create Immersive Experiences:
The resolution/quality of the equipment is improving while the equipment is becoming increasingly affordable. This enables more individuals to create experiences where guests can be transported to new environments with just a push of a button. As visitors, expectations extend beyond merely watching a film on a standard screen – they desire to be enveloped by the content displayed on floors, walls, and ceilings. Manufacturers have recognized this demand, releasing numerous innovative products to address this need.
LED – Larger. Thinner. Lighter
In recent years, LED screens have become increasingly high-resolution and larger. Now, they are also becoming ultra-thin and lightweight, creating opportunities for entirely new applications. For example, holographic and transparent effects, and direct mounting on various surfaces, as opposed to traditional LED cabinets. In the video, you can see an excellent example of a waterfall displayed on a transparent (ultra-thin) LED mesh screen with a resolution of 2.5 mm. The screen requires no cables, as power, signal, and LED diodes are integrated into the metal grid. Smart and sleek.
AI for the AV Industry:
While not entirely surprising, AI has now begun to be integrated into our AV products as well. For instance, it is utilized for controlling cameras with automatic person tracking, for identifying voices and mixing audio, and for monitoring various sensors capable of detecting crowd densities, guest moods, and whether individuals are adults or children. This information can then be integrated into AV control systems to provide customized experiences for different visitors, simultaneously reducing staffing requirements as fewer personnel can execute larger productions.
