10,000 cups of coffee, freshly baked cinnamon buns, and a trade show booth that can change its appearance at the push of a button.
For the third year in a row, Adapt was entrusted with designing and building Circle K’s large-scale booth at Elmia Lastbil in Jönköping. The goal was clear: to create an experience that visitors would instantly recognize, while also serving as a well-functioning gathering place with the capacity to accommodate thousands of people during the trade show.
About the Project
- Client: Circle K
- Event: Elmia Lastbil in Jönköping
- Adapt's assignment: Concept, design, and production
- Highlights: digital LED displays, a gold-plated electric car charger, and an interactive loyalty experience
- The Challenge: High-Capacity Brand Experience
Circle K’s booth needs to do more than just stand out. It should convey various aspects of the brand, welcome a large number of visitors, and enable fast and efficient service throughout the day. Throughout the day, thousands of cups of coffee and freshly baked cinnamon rolls were served directly from the booth. This placed high demands on everything from visitor flow and workspaces to logistics and sustainability.
The Solution: A Flexible Circle K Station
Much of the design draws inspiration from a real Circle K store. Familiar architectural elements create instant recognition, while integrated digital LED surfaces make the experience flexible. With the push of a button, the messaging and atmosphere of the display can be changed. This allows Circle K to highlight different messages, products, and offers without having to rebuild the physical environment. Every part of the display was designed from two perspectives: what visitors will experience and what the team needs behind the scenes. The result is a welcoming environment that handles large visitor flows while conveying a clear and consistent brand identity.
New eye-catchers that spark curiosity
This year’s booth also featured two new experiences. A gold-plated electric car charger marked an important milestone: Circle K now has more than 1,000 chargers throughout Sweden. A giant iPad gave visitors the opportunity to explore Circle K’s smart loyalty program in an engaging way. Together, these new features sparked curiosity and encouraged interaction, while allowing Circle K to highlight its progress in electrification and digital customer experiences.
A booth that captures the brand’s essence
The result was a popular gathering place that embodied the Circle K spirit—welcoming, efficient, and always on the move. It was created not just to be seen, but to embody the brand it represents. A big thank you to Circle K and the entire Adapt team for yet another wonderful collaboration.
