After more than 15 years of working with graphic design and large-format printing in collaboration with external printing partners, it was time to take the next step. Last year, we began setting up our own in-house printing operations at Adapt with the goal of making the process faster, simpler, and more secure for both our teams and our customers.
In January, our new print shop began conducting tests and handling small-scale production runs for internal projects. Over the spring, we fine-tuned our work processes, equipment , and systems. In May, we faced our biggest challenge yet: several thousand square meters of graphics for AVEVA WORLD in Milan.
The production was carried out with excellent results, in close collaboration with our long-standing printing partner ABS in Italy, which supplemented the shipment with locally produced materials.
Large-format printing up to 3.2 meters
Today, we can produce large-format graphics with a height of up to 3.2 meters at our own facility. We print on both rigid panel materials and soft, flexible materials for beMatrix and a range of other applications in the event and trade show industries.
In-house production gives us better control over the entire process—from the initial source file to the finished graphics. It also makes it easier to meet tight deadlines, conduct tests, and ensure the quality of every shipment before it leaves our warehouse in Linköping.
But the investment is about more than just printers and production capacity.
Easier file management with our Print Portal
To make the entire process smoother and more secure, we have developed our own digital Print Portal.
Here, our project managers and external clients can drag and drop their artwork directly into preset formats and beMatrix layouts. The system prepares the material for production and creates print-ready artwork that is sent directly to our printers.
This reduces the need for email threads, separate file transfers, and repetitive manual work. At the same time, it creates a clearer workflow from the uploaded file to the finished product.
Simple. Fast. Secure.
We test everything before delivery
Once the graphics have been printed, they are installed and tested in the actual structures at our warehouse. Only then are they packed along with the rest of the equipment and transported to the project site.
By testing the entire assembly in advance, we can verify the fit, quality, and visual appearance before on-site installation begins. This ensures more reliable deliveries and creates better conditions for efficient implementation.
Our new Printshop has now also been featured in the Swedish trade magazine Sign&Print —something we are, of course, very proud of.
