Through a live broadcast in Adapt's new streaming studio, Capgemini takes its onboarding to new heights

Capgemini conducted this year's onboarding of new employees together with Adapt in our new streaming studio. During a seven-hour live broadcast, they digitally inspired their new people through lectures, panel discussions and in-studio conversations.

In connection with the onboarding of new employees,
Capgemini used our Gothia Studio in Gothenburg. During a full day, they conducted a live broadcast with more than 20 speakers and around 300 digital participants. Capgemini is one of the world's largest management and IT consultancies. The company currently has around 350,000 employees and operates in over 50 countries. Capgemini Sweden will employ over 1000 people by the end of 2022.

Develop the concept to create added value

BeInspired is the name of the hybrid induction programme for new employees at Capgemini Sweden. On three occasions, new recruits get to know different parts of the organisation while having the opportunity to network, make new contacts and share knowledge with each other. This live broadcast was part of the program and the aim was to create pride and inspire the new employees. The broadcast was a step in developing what was previously a Teams meeting, adding value to the onboarding process and finding new ways to reach its participants. This is a recurring event that the company conducts every year.

The digital event was broadcast live to over 300 viewers in various locations across Sweden.

Broadcasting live to a digital audience

Capgemini chose to implement parts of the programme digitally due to the large number of new personnel. This gave them the opportunity to gather both leaders and participants at the same time even though they were in different locations around Sweden. In the studio they had two moderators leading the live broadcast and there were over 20 speakers participating, both in the studio and by link. This meant that all the new recruits were able to stay in their local bases and follow the event from there with their colleagues. Using a digital tool, the organisers were also able to communicate directly with their participants. This reduced the distance between the studio and the local gatherings. Around 300 participants followed the live broadcast.

Interesting feature on food in the studio

As Capgemini is a large international company, several nationalities and cultures are represented among the staff. To draw attention to this, the organisers implemented a food feature in the studio. This involved three Capgemini employees being asked to bring in their own lunchbox. They had prepared the food that they usually eat for lunch, which they then talked about during the live broadcast.

Capgemini's experience of the project

To livesend a seven-hour digital event was a new experience for everyone on the Capgemini onboarding team. As a result, they received both support and guidance from us at Adapt throughout the planning and production phases. They were also grateful that we were so responsive and captured their vision and agenda for the event. The fact that our new streaming studio exceeded their expectations naturally made us particularly proud. What Capgemini was most pleased with was the broad expertise of our studio engineers, which provided them with a tailor-made technical solution tailored to their needs. This is how they summarised the project:

Broadcasting BeInspired from Adapt's studio gave us the opportunity to take Capgemini's onboarding to new heights through professional production, engaging speakers and energetic facilitators who put BeInspired on the map both internally and externally. We look forward to a continued partnership with Adapt in 2023 as we have another 'Show' coming up this spring.

Adapt accounted for the entire production

We have been involved in all parts of the process to produce and implement this digital event. This includes everything from planning, graphics and equipment to the actual studio, broadcast and technical staff. It has been so much fun to produce such an exciting and rich live broadcast. We thank the participants for the trust and wish Capgemini a warm welcome back!
