When BMW Group convened sales managers from across the globe for an internal world premiere of six new car models for the 2024 model year, the event was hosted at Adapt's hybrid studio at Fotografiska. Produced in collaboration with the German agency Die Favoriten, the event provided participants with an exclusive first presentation of the new models within a controlled and private environment.
The studio was selected due to its central location in Stockholm and easy accessibility from Stockholm Central Station – a crucial factor given guests were flying in from around the world. Concurrently, the studio offered ample space to display all six vehicles while creating a comfortable environment for participants. As it was an internal world premiere, the cars could be presented in a secluded indoor setting where design and details were the sole focus.
Adapt provided a comprehensive production solution encompassing equipment, stage production, decor, project management, and technical staffing. The objective was to create an environment where the vehicles' form, materials, and design could be visually emphasized with significant impact.
Impactful lighting design
A central aspect of the production involved the lighting design for the vehicles. Through meticulously planned lighting, the vehicles' lines, surfaces, and materials were accentuated in a manner that significantly enhanced the audience's experience. By employing directional light sources and dynamic effects, a stage setting was crafted, ensuring each model was presented with a distinct visual focus.
In collaboration with Die Favoriten's creative team, Adapt's lighting technicians developed a production where lighting, scenography, and equipment converged to create an exclusive event commensurate with the new car models. The outcome was a world premiere where the products were central, and the presentation amplified both the design and the overall experience for the attendees.
