At the newly renovated Quality Hotel The Reef, guests can now experience a full Caribbean day in just 1.5 hours. Here, water parks, restaurants, and conference areas converge in a destination that blends a holiday atmosphere with meeting facilities – just a short boat trip from Gothenburg.

By integrating experiential equipment with the hotel environment, the facility has evolved into a venue where entertainment, relaxation, and meetings converge. Our mission has been to design, engineer, install, and program all experiential equipment within the facility. The objective was to establish a cohesive technical infrastructure where audio, lighting, and video not only support operations but also become an active component of the overall experience.

In the water park, guests can embark on a narrative journey from sunrise to sunset, where audio, lighting, and video are synchronized with wave machines, rain showers, and waterfalls to simulate weather changes. When a storm rolls in, the experience is enhanced with thunder, lightning, and synchronized effects that transform the entire space.

Effortless Control with BLOCKS

All equipment within the facility is interconnected via a network and managed through the BLOCKS control system. This enables staff to effortlessly manage audio, lighting, and video throughout the entire facility without specialized technical knowledge. An audio source can be connected to any network port and played in a specific zone or across the entire facility, while all functions can be controlled via touch panels or mobile devices.

In the hotel's public areas, a digital ambient audio system from Genelec was installed, featuring approximately one hundred network-connected loudspeakers that can be individually controlled to create distinct audio zones. We also supplied a mini-cinema with a short-throw 4K projector from Epson, a flexible karaoke room controlled via touchscreen that also functions as a conference room, and a mobile stage with audio and lighting equipment, enabling the adaptation of spaces for DJs, parties, or performances.

FAQ

By synchronizing audio, lighting, and visual effects, a physical environment can be transformed and the visitor's experience enhanced. In experiential environments, the equipment can simulate everything from weather changes to different times of day. Adapt designs and installs such systems where equipment and scenography interact to form a cohesive whole.

A network-based AV system implies that audio, lighting, and video are interconnected via a digital network. This enables content and functions to be centrally controlled and distributed to various parts of the building. Adapt develops such infrastructures for hotels, arenas, and public environments.

BLOCKS is a user-friendly control system that enables the control of audio, lighting, and video from a unified platform. The system facilitates the creation of various scenarios and the control of equipment via touch panels, computers, or mobile devices. Adapt is a leading integrator of BLOCKS in permanent installations.

Through network-connected loudspeakers, different areas of a facility can play distinct audio or music concurrently. Each zone can be individually controlled and adapted according to activity or environment. Adapt installs zone-based audio systems that establish the appropriate atmosphere in every part of a building.

By integrating audio, lighting, and video into the environment, hotels and destinations can create unique experiences that strengthen the brand and attract more visitors. The equipment can be utilized for everything from themed environments to events, conferences, and entertainment.

Adapt offers comprehensive solutions for installations – from design and engineering to installation, programming, and support. Deliverables can include audio systems, projection, LED solutions, control systems, network-based AV equipment, and experiential installations that create long-term value for the facility.
