Automässan - Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre Gothia Towers

One of the largest exhibitors at Automässan is Continova — and for the past four editions, we have been entrusted with designing and constructing their booth. This solution has evolved and been refined over time, in parallel with the development of both the fair and the brand.

The booth is characterized by its large, sloping roof – constructed from truss and clad with printed graphics – which is visible across the entire exhibition floor and has become a distinct symbol of Continova's presence. This high visibility is combined with a well-conceived floor plan where product presentations, meetings, and networking seamlessly interact.

The framework is constructed using beMatrix, combining printed surfaces with integrated screens and LED walls. The booth features a fully equipped bar with refrigerators, lounge areas for discussions, and a raised stage section where specialized rims are presented against a large LED screen backdrop.

By working long-term with the same fundamental concept, we have been able to optimize construction, logistics, and visual identity over time. The result is a booth that not only showcases products but also clearly positions Continova as a leading player on the exhibition floor.

3D visualization ensures visibility

Prior to each edition of Automässan, we construct Continova's booth in a detailed 3D model before production commences. In the visualization, we position the booth directly within the exhibition hall, which allows for testing proportions, sightlines, and how the large sloping roof is perceived from various areas of the exhibition floor. This approach ensures maximum booth visibility already during the planning phase.

We also utilize the 3D model to plan the placement of products, LED screens, meeting areas, and the bar within the booth. By simulating flows and functionalities in advance, both Continova's team and the production team gain a clear, shared vision. The result is an efficient construction process and a booth where design, equipment, and visitor experience function precisely as planned.

FAQ

A booth requires height, distinct architecture, and a strong visual identity to stand out in a large exhibition hall. Elements such as elevated structures, clear graphics, and integrated display surfaces help create recognition from a distance. Adapt designs exhibition booths where form, lighting, and graphics collaborate for maximum visibility.

3D visualization enables the digital placement of the booth within the actual exhibition hall prior to construction. This allows for pre-testing of proportions, sightlines, and the positioning of products, LED screens, and meeting areas. Adapt utilizes 3D design to establish a clear objective and a more efficient production process.

LED screens facilitate the display of films, product presentations, and high-resolution graphic content throughout the exhibition. They can be integrated into the booth design and serve as a backdrop for presentations or product launches. Adapt employs LED solutions to create dynamic and engaging booth environments.

beMatrix is a modular frame system that enables the construction of sustainable and reusable exhibition booths. The structure can be easily adapted for various exhibitions and combined with graphics, lightboxes, and digital display surfaces.

A well-planned booth incorporates distinct zones – e.g., product display areas, meeting spaces, and social zones. By combining these functionalities, the booth can both showcase products and facilitate dialogue with visitors.

By working with a consistent foundational concept, the booth can maintain its recognition while evolving over time. New graphic elements, equipment solutions, and product zones can be incorporated without altering the overarching identity. Adapt develops booth platforms that offer long-term functionality and can be utilized across multiple exhibitions.
