When to choose beMatrix 1.5 mm LED
We have recently started using our new beMatrix 1.5 mm LED display and are often asked: when do you really need such high resolution displays?
Is it needed as a backdrop to a stage where the audience is sitting several meters away?
Not necessarily. In such cases, a lower resolution screen often works just as well, as the eye cannot perceive the same level of detail at a distance.
Is it a substitute for an 85″ screen when you are standing close and want to display detailed graphics, but don't need a larger screen?
Again, if the size of a standard display already meets your needs, an LED display is not the best choice.
So when does a high-resolution LED display really come into its own?
A perfect example is the project we carried out for AVEVA in Paris recently. At several demo stations, the exhibitors needed to be able to display detailed graphics and crisp text on large screen surfaces, so that visitors standing close to the screens could easily read the information. We used beMatrix LEDskin 1.5 mm to create screens in different sizes and formats, such as 16:9 and 3:1, and displayed the content in full daylight. It is in such contexts that the high-resolution LED displays really show their strength.
