Millimeter precision when premises get a digital twin

How do we ensure that we have all the necessary information about an event venue right from the start – so that we can design, plan, and deliver correctly? With a digital twin, of course!

This week, our 3D guru Isak was in Barcelona on a site visit to a conference center. The team brought along our 3D scanner, which is used to document all surfaces with millimeter precision. The result is a digital site visit that anyone can click through directly in their browser—to take their own measurements, understand flows, and get to know the place without being there physically. This is an extremely effective tool for project work. The need to return to the facility for additional measurements or checks is minimized, planning is accurate from the outset, and both time and resources are saved.

We can also import the 3D scans directly into our 3D tools. There, we create realistic, true-to-scale visualizations that show exactly what the event will look like before anything is built. This provides reassurance for everyone involved in a project and makes it easy to sell ideas and make quick decisions.

We help many facilities 3D scan their surfaces so they can send them to their customers. One example is Clarion & Comfort Hotel Copenhagen and their event venue The Hangar, where the digital twin is embedded directly on the website. There, you can click around and take your own measurements – the link is in the comments.

Curious about how this can be used in your projects or your premises? Contact our 3D guru Isak, and he will tell you more.
