Three equipment equipment trends from the ISE show in Barcelona
Currently, the annual The ISE fair in Barcelona - a meeting place for all those interested in professional sound, light and image technology. Haven't had the chance to go? No worries, Adapt brings you the highlights.
Easier to create immersive experiences:
The resolution/quality of technology is improving while equipment is becoming cheaper. This means that more people can now create experiences where guests can be transported to new environments at the touch of a button. Visitors expect more than just watching a movie on a screen - they want to be surrounded by what is being shown; on the floor, walls and ceiling. Manufacturers have recognized this and many new smart products have been released to meet this need.
LED - Larger. Thinner. Lighter
In recent years, LED displays have become increasingly high-resolution and larger. They are also becoming thinner and lighter, which opens up completely new applications. For example, holographic and transparent effects and direct mounting on different surfaces, instead of traditional LED cabinets. In the video, you can see a good example of a waterfall displayed on a transparent (paper-thin) LED mesh screen with a resolution of 2.5 mm. The screen uses no cables as the power, signal and LEDs are built into the metal grid. Smart and stylish.
AI for the AV industry:
Not surprisingly, AI has now started to be integrated into our AV products as well. It is used, for example, to control cameras with automatic tracking of people, to identify voices and mix sounds, and to control various sensors that can detect crowds, guests' moods and whether you are an adult or a child. This information can then be integrated into AV control systems to provide customized experiences for different visitors, while reducing staffing requirements as fewer people can carry out larger productions.
